SYMPTOMS:
Patient presented with chronic shoulder pain following a motor vehicle accident. He experienced instability and weakness. The physical examination confirmed instability as well as a unilateral weakness and limited range of motion when compared with the opposite/unaffected shoulder. A 3T MRI was ordered by his consulting orthopedic physician. High resolution images were obtained. Representative images of the study are presented below with pathology clearly labeled and annotated.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS:
1. Mild insertional tendinosis of the deltoid.
2. Postoperative labral and capsular irregularities.
3. No acute abnormalities.
4. Buford complex and sublabral foramen.
