Why 3T MRI for Spine Imaging?

There are literally hundreds and perhaps thousands of studies similar to the example below that illustrate and help answer the simple question “Why3T” ?

The images below top & bottom on the left are images acquired on a 1.5T MRI scanner in a local outpatient facility.

The patient was never provided a conclusive diagnosis, likely due to poor image quality and a low quality study. The patient’s symptoms continued and during a consult with a specialist, the patient was asked to have their MRI repeated due to the lack of diagnostic information available in the first MRI.

The patient was referred to Siker Imaging for a high resolution 3T MRI. The images on the right in comparison below are those acquired on the 3T MRI scanner at Siker Imaging.
